Trip mode

Use trip mode to follow your route and focus on your next activity, one at a time, with relevant actions at your fingertips.

Trip mode helps you follow your route more efficiently by

  • highlighting your next activity and the route to it,

  • placing relevant action buttons on the Activity panel at the bottom of the screen,

  • allowing you to re-build your route from your current location, thus updating your expected time of arrival at all your unvisited activities,

  • allowing you to mark your current activity as visited, thus removing it from your current route and rebuilding your route from your current location to your next stop.

Activating the trip mode

The Trip mode is activated

  1. by clicking the SAVE & GO! button after you built your route:

When the Trip mode is active, Mapsly hides the Route pane, search bar, and table view and shows the Activity panel with your next stop. You may switch between activities using the left arrow and right arrow buttons:

Exiting the Trip mode

To deactivate the Trip mode:

  • press Exit trip mode on the Activity panel

    OR

  • press EXIT TRIP MODE on the Route pane

Exiting the Trip mode will hide the Activity panel, show the search bar and the table view again and restore the full route with all activities on the Route panel, including those you previously marked as visited while in the Trip mode. Visited activities are displayed with a tiny green check-mark ✅.

Actions on the Activity panel

Refresh

Refresh icon on the right of the estimated time of arrival (ETA) rebuilds your current route from your current location and refreshes the ETAs for all unvisited activities, which you can see on the Route pane (your next activity is highlighted in green):

Navigate

Navigate is always the first button on the Activity panel. Press it to navigate to this location using your preferred navigation app: Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze.

You may have different preferred navigation apps on different devices, and - once selected - they can be changed in the Traveling preferences.

Mark as visited

Marks your current activity as visited, which removes it from your current route, and rebuilds your route with your next stop as your target location. Visited activities can be reviewed in Route panel, they are marked with a tiny green check-mark✅.

Custom buttons

If your Mapsly administrator added buttons, like Check In and Check Out, to the Activity panel and made them visible to your user profile, you'll see them here and can press them to follow the process set up by the administrator.

View record

View record opens the full-size window with your record's data.

Open in CRM

Opens the activity record in your CRM's mobile app if it's installed on your device or in a new browser tab otherwise.

Exit trip mode / Finish trip

Exit trip mode, or Finish trip for the finish location, exits the trip mode, hides the Activity panel, shows the search bar and the table view again, and restores the entire route with all activities on the Route pane.

How to re-start Trip mode

To re-enter the Trip mode after you exited it, click GO! on the Route panel if the trip still has unvisited activities.

If all activities are visited and you need to add more points, it's possible to Edit the trip and add required activities.

If you need to re-start the trip with all visited activities, click CLONE ROUTE. A new route will be created with the name "Copy of {previous route}" and Edit mode will be active. It's possible to Re-optimize the route, add/remove activities and Save changes, then procced to Trip mode by clicking GO!
