Mapsly is a standalone software platform that exchanges data with your Salesforce org via its Data API and allows you to log into Mapsly with your Salesforce credentials. Since Mapsly leverages Salesforce API, it requires Salesforce Professional plan (with API access add-on) or Salesforce Enterprise plan or higher.

For Professional Edition organizations, all requests for API access must be purchased and can be processed by contacting your Salesforce Account Executive. If you don’t have a designated Salesforce Account Executive, contact the Salesforce Sales Team.

Mapsly extension for Salesforce

You may use Mapsly in a separate browser tab with your Salesforce credentials without installing Mapsly extension from the AppExchange. But optionally, you may install our Salesforce extension from AppExchange - it will create a Mapsly tab that you'll be able to add to your Sales lightning app or use in a standalone Mapsly lightning app in your Lightning Experience.

You may always install Mapsly extension for Salesforce any time later.

Note. While we are planning to extend the functionality of our AppExchange extension, at this moment it does not provide any additional features that would not be available when using Mapsly at app.mapsly.com.

Setting up Mapsly without AppExchange extension

Note. You need to be a Salesforce org administrator to complete this guide.

1. Set up your company subdomain in Salesforce

If you don't yet have your company subdomain in your Salesforce org, please follow this guide to set it up.

2. Follow Mapsly sign-up wizard at app.mapsly.com

Go to app.mapsly.com and click the Salesforce logo:

A Salesforce login pop-up window will open prompting you to sign into your Salesforce org and grant Mapsly access to your Salesforce data. Confirm to proceed.

When prompted, press the Create new Mapsly account button:

and follow the Mapsly account sign-up wizard.

How to add Mapsly into your Salesforce user interface

Optionally, you may install our AppExchange Mapsly extension by following this guide to add a Mapsly tab to your Salesforce user interface, which will make it easier to log into Mapsly.

Note. Since Mapsly is a standalone single-page web application, it's recommended to keep it open in a separate tab even when added as a Mapsly tab via the AppExchange extension - to prevent reloading it every time the Mapsly tab is opened.

How to log into Mapsly

If you've installed the Mapsly extension from AppExchange, just open the Mapsly tab, and you'll be automatically logged into your Mapsly account.

If you're using Mapsly without the Mapsly AppExchange extension, to log into Mapsly - on desktop or mobile - go to app.mapsly.com, click the Salesforce logo and enter your Salesforce credentials in the Salesforce login pop-up that will open. (The process of logging in is essentially the same as the one described in section #2 of this article.)

How to link your existing Mapsly account to your Salesforce org

Or, if you need to link your existing Mapsly account to this Salesforce org, please follow this guide.

Adding more users to Mapsly

New Salesforce users are added to your Mapsly account with restricted access automatically when they open the Mapsly tab or log into Mapsly with their Salesforce credentials at app.mapsly.com; you don't need to manually add them. Learn more users and Single Sign-On here.

Implementation is included in your Mapsly subscription!

Your Mapsly subscription comes with implementation services, so we're inviting you to book a web call with our engineer today - to learn more about your use scenario and help you integrate Mapsly with your system. You may also ask us for help in chat any time 24/7.

Useful articles

If you'd like to see on the map only standard objects like leads, accounts or contacts, the wizard's instructions are self-explanatory. In more complex scenarios when you'd like to see other objects in Mapsly as well or use coordinates instead of an object's address, please refer to these articles:
